Ai KUWABARA

　Ai Kuwabara (b.1991, Chiba) is a Japanese jazz pianist and composer.
　since her early years, she had performed in many concerts and won many awards including gold medals at the All-Japan Yamaha Electone Concours. After that, she switched to playing the piano from junior high.Graduated from the Music Department at Senzoku Gakuen High School as a jazz piano major in 2010. She had studied playing the piano under Yuki Arimasa, Yoko Yamashita, and Kazune Zaima.
　She has been released 4 CDs as the leader of ai kuwabara trio project. Her international concert appearances have included 12th TOKYO JAZZ FESTIVAL (2013), the first overseas public tour in the U.S. (2013), Blue Note Tokyo (2014). Her 2nd CD THE SIXTH SENSE was selected by The Japan Times as the best album of the first half of 2013 and won New Star Prize of Album of The Year in Jazz Japan Award.
